Mini-Circuits has developed an innovative line of test equipment that can improve test efficiency and provide reliable test results without a big investment in complex laboratory equipment. These products range from small Portable Test Equipment (PTE) including signal generators, switch matrices, programmable attenuators, and smart power sensors to custom integrated rack-mount test solutions. Most recently, Mini-Circuits has accelerated custom test solutions with modular test rack designs resulting in turnaround times as fast as 1 week and greatly simplifying system maintenance. All modules include user-friendly GUI software and DLLs for almost any programming environment that supports ActiveX or .Net frameworks, allowing the user to develop customized control applications.
This webinar will trace the evolution of Mini-Circuits’ test solutions from individual PTE products through our newest custom rack-mount designs and it will discuss how this equipment can greatly reduce your overall production cost and time to market.
Chi Man Shum is currently the Worldwide Portable Test Equipment Applications Manager at Mini-Circuits, where he leads the product introduction and marketing of smart power sensors, frequency counters, I/O control boxes, switch matrices, synthesized signal generators, and rack mounted test systems for high speed automated production requirements. Previously, also at Mini-Circuits as the Applications Manager, he managed and trained the sales team in the promotion of signal- processing components such as VCOs, frequency synthesizers, mixers, power dividers, and filters into both commercial and military markets. Chi Man started his career in the laser industry as a research scientist specializing in electro-optics devices with applications in RF communications. He holds a Ph.D. degree in physics from Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ) in 1990.
Jeffrey is currently the Project Leader for Rack Test Equipment at Mini-Circuits. He manages the activities of a team of engineers and supporting members in the design and manufacturing of Rack Test Equipment. He has been with Mini-Circuits for over 8 years and has also worked as a design engineer within the Mechanical Engineering group. Jeffrey started his career designing proprietary knit fabric finishing machines and spent several years working as a manufacturing engineer building structures for the aerospace and maritime defense industries. He holds a Bachelors and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook.
