Trillium Technical has exciting new opportunities available for Senior RF Technicians to perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The Tech will use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment, using a variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other input / output electronic test devices. The candidate dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings, will use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts, and rebuilds manufacturing/test equipment as required. The Tech may also perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing/test engineers.
•Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, and standards.
•Adjust and calibrate systems as needed. Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and schematics.
•Troubleshooting down to the component level.
•Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components.
•Works with engineers in conducting experiments. Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing or testing process.
•Compiles and records test results. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
•4+ years of experience with some formal training or BSEE with 2 years of test system design experience.
•A solid understanding and working knowledge of RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF generators, digital oscilloscopes, frequency meters, and power meters.
•Analog and digital troubleshooting skills.
•Ability to read schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation.
•Good soldering techniques and able to perform rework using a microscope.
•RF experience to 26.5 GHz. 40 GHz desired.
•Basic computer skills including familiarity with Excel.
•Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
