MatchCalc™ provides ideal component values for matching S1P or S2P files to the desired system or reference impedance. MatchCalc offers capabilities not available in other downloadable tools and frees RF designers to work remotely.
Qorvo introduced a pre-matched, asymmetric Doherty amplifier covering 2.5 to 2.7 GHz that integrates two GaN on SiC transistors in a single NI-780 ceramic package. The QPD2731 Doherty delivers 50 W average output power with 60 percent efficiency.
Qorvo® is sampling what the company says is the industry’s first GaN on SiC front-end module (FEM) for the 39 GHz 5G band. The QPF4005 FEM integrates two identical, multi-function GaN MMICs into a footprint optimized for the phased array element spacing at 39 GHz. The FEM, which supports up to 256-QAM OFDM modulation, was designed for 5G base station architectures that use a phased array for beamforming.
Qorvo® expanded its CATV portfolio with five new products that improve upstream and downstream capabilities in customer premises equipment. The launch includes four DOCSIS 3.1 upstream amplifiers and a broadband digital step attenuator (DSA), which are sampling now.
Qorvo announced three 28 GBd linear drivers (single and quad-channel) and two, single channel, linear TIAs for the pulse amplitude modulation-4 (PAM4) optical networking standard. The drivers are in production, and the single channel TIAs will be available for sampling in April.
Qorvo added three new solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) modules to the company's Spatium amplifier family: a 300 W SSPA covering 2 to 6 GHz, a 150 W SSPA covering 2 to 8 GHz and a 60 W unit covering 2 to 18 GHz.
Qorvo announced two dual-channel switch-LNA modules for base stations, covering 2.3 to 2.7 GHz and 1.8 to 4.2 GHz, respectively. Designed for TDD massive MIMO architectures, each channel integrates a T/R switch to connect the antenna to a two-stage LNA in receive mode or, in transmit, passes the signal from the PA to the antenna.
At the 2017 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Qorvo's mobile products business announced two new RF front-end modules for mid-tier phones, four design wins in a "gigabit" smartphone and "the industry's first" 5G RF front-end.
Qorvo® announced a portfolio of RF front ends (RFFE) for LTE Power Class 2, also known as high performance user equipment (HPUE). Smartphones that incorporate Qorvo's RFFEs combine the speed and capacity advantages of high-band spectrum with the coverage advantages of mid-band spectrum.
Qorvo® has joined the China Mobile 5G Innovation Center, an alliance created to develop 5G solutions for China, the world’s largest wireless communications market. The innovation center is promoting industry collaboration on 5G development and the migration from 4G, including use cases such as self-driving cars, the IoT and VR/AR.
