Rohde & Schwarz, a leading manufacturer of audio, video and telecommunications test equipment, announced that it is collaborating with Dolby Laboratories Inc. to provide audio test technology to Dolby and its licensees.
With the R&S RSC family, Rohde & Schwarz is launching a unique range of switchable step attenuators. The product family encompasses the world's first step attenuator up to 67 GHz and a precision model with 0.1 dB step size offering excellent accuracy and stability.
New bandwidths, mixed-signal analysis and options for testing USB interfaces, CAN LIN buses and audio signals: Rohde & Schwarz significantly expanded its oscilloscope portfolio in 2012. At the embedded world 2013 trade fair in Nuremberg (hall 4, booth 112), the company will present its latest applications, two new probes and other state-of-the-art products.
The R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester is a multistandard test platform that developers can use to test user equipment for compliance with all wireless communications standards. Rohde & Schwarz has developed a new and innovative graphical test script development tool for this platform that does not require any programming experience: R&S CMWcards.
Today it is hard to imagine data exchange and instrument control without USB. No other interface has achieved such popularity for user equipment, electronic consumer goods and industrial products. As a result, the need for reliable, fast test solutions in development and integration has also increased. New software from Rohde & Schwarz makes the company's high-performance oscilloscope ideal for automated USB 2.0 compliance tests.
A product must pass the USB Implementers Forum's compliance tests (USB-IF compliance program). Rohde & Schwarz meets this need with the R&S RTO-K21 USB 2.0 compliance test software for its R&S RTO high-performance oscilloscope. This software offers scenarios for testing USB 2.0 devices (DUT) when functioning as a device, host or hub.
Rohde & Schwarz now offers harmonic filter options for its R&S SMB100A microwave signal generator. These filters make it possible to achieve a harmonic suppression of more than –50 dBc over a wide frequency range from 150 MHz to max. 40 GHz. At low frequencies below 3 GHz, it is even possible to achieve an excellent –58 dBc.
Rohde & Schwarz has enhanced its fully integrated R&S SGS100A by adding a model for I/Q modulated signals from 80 MHz to 12.75 GHz. Combined with an I/Q baseband generator, the instrument can be used to generate test signals for all radio standards in this frequency range. As a result, the R&S SGS100A is ideal for X-band signals from 8 GHz to 12 GHz for radar and satellite communications. The I/Q modulator's wide RF bandwidth of 1 GHz makes it possible to generate pulses with high chirp bandwidths and steep pulse edges.
