The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has awarded BAE Systems a $13.3 million contract modification to extend its work on the Adaptive Radar Countermeasures (ARC) project. The ARC program's goal is to enable airborne electronic warfare (EW) systems to counter new, unknown, and adaptive radars in real time.
DARPA released "Breakthrough Technologies for National Security", a biennial report summarizing the agency’s historical mission, current and evolving focus areas and recent transitions of DARPA-developed technologies to the military services and other sectors.
Guinness World Records has recognized DARPA’s Terahertz Electronics program for creating the fastest solid-state amplifier integrated circuit ever measured. The 10-stage common-source MMIC achieves 9 dB gain at 1.03 THz.
DARPA is soliciting innovative research and development (R&D) proposals in the area of Cognitive radio Low-energy signal Analysis Sensor Integrated Circuits (CLASIC), a thrust within the DARPA Adaptive RF Technology (ART) program. The goal of CLASIC is to enable monolithic, high performance, ultra high energy efficiency, signal recognition integrated...
