 Raytheon Co. has received a $109 million engineering services contract for its Patriot Air and Missile Defense System.  

 During a Missile Defense Agency test of Boeing's Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system, Raytheon Company's Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) destroyed a complex, long-range ballistic missile target in space. 

The Office of Naval Research (ONR) has awarded Raytheon Co. an $8.5 million base contract to design the Flexible Distributed Array Radar (FlexDAR), enabling dynamic multi-mission radars capable of executing a variety of functions including surveillance, communications and electronic warfare.

Raytheon Co. successfully completed a passive seeker test designed for a Tomahawk Block IV cruise missile using company-funded independent research and development investment. The captive flight test, using a modified Tomahawk Block IV missile nose cone, demonstrated that Raytheon's advanced, next-generation; multi-function processor can enable the cruise missile to navigate to and track moving targets emitting radio frequency signals. 

An international customer signed an agreement with the U.S. Government for a foreign military sale (FMS) of tube-launched, optically tracked, wireless-guided (TOW) missiles to be supplied by Raytheon Company in a deal valued at approximately $750 million.

The U.S. will soon have another system to defend against ballistic missiles. Raytheon Co. delivered its ninth AN/TPY-2 ballistic missile defense radar to the Missile Defense Agency, six months ahead of schedule.

Raytheon Co. has received a $655 million contract for new-production fire units of the combat-proven Patriot Air and Missile Defense System for Kuwait. These units are an addition to the Patriot fire units Kuwaitcurrently owns to counter current and evolving threats.

Raytheon Co. announced today that under the DARPA Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Program, the company has systematically matured Gallium Nitride (GaN) from basic material to transistors, Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), Transmit/Receive (T/R) Modules and finally Transmit/Receive Integrated Multichannel Modules (TRIMMs), enabling game changing system performance for the DoD.
