- Buyers Guide
Narda Microwave-East, an L-3 Communications company, announced the expansion of its waveguide product line. Responding to continued customer demand, the expanded line features 130 new models in four distinct categories.
PIN diodes are essential tools in the designer’s handbook. There are many resources that provide information about PIN diode characteristics and integration. However, practical information about selecting the proper PIN diode-based product for a specific application is extremely hard to find. Narda’s new PIN Diode Control Products Application Note was created to fill this void.
With today’s emphasis on superior performance in a smaller, lighter, more cost-effective package, why settle for yesterday’s chip and wire solutions? Narda Defense Technology Solutions has pioneered the development of high performance, densely packaged Integrated Microwave Assemblies and Sub-Systems in footprints previously considered unachievable.
Model 2372A-2 is a high-power, 2-way power divider that operates from 500 MHz to 2.5 GHz, handles up to 250 W CW input power (2 kW peak power), and is well suited for both commercial and military applications. It employs Type-N female connectors and measures 3.5 in. x 2.5 in. x 1 in.
Narda, an L-3 Communications company, has introduced the 4436 family of RF power dividers that operate from 500 MHz to 8 GHz and are available in two-way, three-way, four-way, and eight-way versions. The power dividers are a cost-effective solution for commercial and defense applications.
Narda Safety Test Systems, an L-3 Communications company, introduced two portable instruments designed exclusively for measurement of electromagnetic fields found in industrial environments such as RF heat sealers and vinyl welders, semiconductor fabrication equipment, RF induction, dielectric dryers and heaters, and plasma generation systems.
Narda's Model SP153DHTS is a high-performance SP2T absorptive switch. The Model SP153DHTS operates from 2 to 18 GHz with a switching speed of 25 ns, insertion loss of less than 3.8 dB, and isolation as high as 60 dB.
Narda, an L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) company introduced the SEM066 high-performance SP6T electromechanical microwave switch that covers 2 to 18 GHz and is an excellent choice for defense applications that require broad operating bandwidth along with ruggedness and long-term reliability in the field.
Narda Microwave's Model 4372-2 is a two-way power divider that operates from 800 to 2500 MHz and is an excellent choice for a broad array of applications including commercial wireless and defense systems.
Narda's Model 4772-3 is a miniature fixed 3 dB attenuator that has flat frequency response, low VSWR, and meets environmental requirements for MIL-A-3933. The attenuator measures only 1.24 x 0.38 in. and weighs 0.5 oz. It handles 2 W average and 200 W peak RF input power, has a VSWR of 1.4:1 or less, and attenuation deviation of +/- 0.3 dB or less. Connectors are stainless steel SMA female.
