MACOM and Infineon Settle GaN on Si Lawsuit

MACOM and Infineon have settled their legal fight over ownership of GaN on Si intellectual property (IP). In an unexpected conclusion, MACOM now owns the IP and has licensed it back to Infineon — although Infineon can't sell production quantities of RF GaN on Si base station products until 2021.

AFRL Awards Contract to Develop GaN Modeling Capability

Qorvo tapped to lead team including Modelithics, the University of Padua, NI AWR, HRL and the University of Colorado-Boulder

Qorvo will lead a team tasked to develop a physics-based, unified GaN modeling framework to accelerate the design of GaN devices. In addition to Qorvo, the four-year AFRL contract taps the capabilities of Modelithics, the University of Padua, NI AWR, HRL and the University of Colorado-Boulder.
