Cambridge Broadband Networks (CBNL) announced an agreement with Straight Path Communications Inc. to launch a combined 39 GHz product/spectrum solution that widens U.S. coverage of the most cost effective form of carrier-grade backhaul and enterprise access.

Anritsu Co. announces support for LTE-A 3 Carrier Aggregation (3CA) Carrier Acceptance Test (CAT) requirements at two additional major North American carriers, building on the first announcement of 3CA support for a third carrier in September.

Remcom announces a new version of Wireless InSite®, its site-specific radio propagation software for the analysis of wireless communication systems. This version, Release 2.8, supports the import of KMZ and COLLADA geometry files. It also provides several other enhancements, including significant speed improvements to the processing of terrain and city geometry, enabling simulations that include larger or more complex urban scenes.

MathWorks introduced WLAN System Toolbox, providing standard-compliant functions for the design, simulation analysis, and testing of wireless LAN communications systems.

Nokia announced that it has received antitrust clearance from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) for its proposed acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent. The clearance in China completes the material antitrust review process required for the transaction.
