RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for TriQuint Semiconductor’s TQP3M9037, internally matched, low noise amplifier combining a 0.4 dB noise figure with 20 dB gain and 35 dBm OIP3 in a 2 x 2 mm DFN package. This newest addition to TriQuint’s LNA product line provides an instantaneous bandwidth of 1500 to 2700 MHz and requires only bypass/blocking capacitors and a bias inductor for operation, no matching components are required to achieve this high level of performance.
A wide range of Travelling Wave Tube amplifiers from TMD Technologies will be on show at the EMCUK 2012 exhibition and conference, which takes place on 9-10 October 2012 in Newbury, UK
Nujira Ltd has raised a further $12 million in its latest funding round, securing the rollout of the company’s Coolteq.L IC technology for mobile handsets and supporting the ramp to volume production.
The OpenET Alliance has announced the availability of a new High Dynamic Range (HDR) system simulation model for handset Envelope Tracking applications. The ET System Simulation model, jointly developed by OpenET members Nujira and the University of Firenze, aids system optimization by making it easier for designers to identify sources of noise and distortion and to make the necessary design tradeoffs.
Researchers at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, have developed a new generation of amplifiers that has the ability to measure data that is currently buried by noise.
MILMEGA Ltd has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation for developing amplifiers, based on a novel design methodology, using gallium nitride-based transistors, for use in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) test equipment.
The OpenET Alliance, the industry association that promotes energy efficient wireless transmission through Envelope Tracking (ET), has announced its first wave of members, and the release of an updated interface specification for cellular terminals.
United Monolithic Semiconductors (UMS) has announced that the PPH15X-10 MMIC GaAs power PHEMT process has been successfully space evaluated and is now part of the European Preferred Part List established by the European Space Agency/European Space Components Information Exchange System (ESA/ESCIES).
Avago Technologies, a supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, announced a high-gain, high-linearity power amplifier for high-data-rate applications found in 700 to 800 MHz cellular infrastructure equipment.
