Pickering Interfaces announced that the U.S. Air Force, Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill AFB, Utah, recently awarded them a contract for a large quantity of their 6U High-Density Matrix modules (model 45-542) for the PXI switching requirement that is part of the PATS-70A (Portable Automated Test Set) for the O-Level and I-Level maintenance of A-10C aircraft.

Micro Harmonics, a small business specializing in ferrite-based millimeter wave components, announced the availability of its initial circulator product, the YC148, covering 58 to 64 GHz. The company is also extending its line of Faraday rotation isolators from WR12 (60 to 90 GHz) to WR3.4 (220 to 325 GHz). Prototypes of WR5.1, WR4.3 and WR3.4 designs are being evaluated and will be released by summer.

Raytheon was awarded a $136 million production contract for the AN/SPY-6(V)1 Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR), the U.S. Navy’s next-generation integrated air and missile defense radar. The award is an option under the current low rate initial production contract and will fund the fourth “ship set” of radar mission equipment.
