Teledyne Relays Europe announces the expansion of the role of Richardson RFPD as a Pan-European distributor of Teledyne Relays and Teledyne Coax Switches products. Richardson RFPD, a distributor for specialised products, brings the technical and applications support to the market needed by customers for Teledyne products.

Thales Alenia Space Deutschland GmbH has signed a contract, worth up to €4 million, with Thales Alenia Space-France in the frame of the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) weather satellites. This contract includes the development and the validation of the operations Satellite Simulator (SATSIM), as well as the Payload Data Generator for all the satellites.

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that its EXA signal analyzer is now the industry's most cost-effective millimeter-wave signal analyzer, covering frequencies up to 44 GHz. With external mixing, it can cover up to 325 GHz. The result is easier, more accurate millimeter-wave measurements.

Rogers Corp. announced the appointment of Helen Zhang as President of Asia Region to oversee the company’s growing business in Greater China and throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Zhang will be responsible for driving Rogers’ growth strategy in Asia across the company’s three core businesses of printed circuit materials, power electronics solutions and high performance foams. 

TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. announced that it has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to lead a $12.3 million development program focused on ultra-fast gallium nitride (GaN) switch technology for the Microscale Power Conversion (MPC) program. TriQuint’s revolutionary new GaN modulator has the potential to enable highly-efficient RF transmitters substantially smaller than current solutions.

Skyworks introduces a high power shunt PIN diode for transmit and receive switching applications. The SMP1304-085LF is a discrete solution in a very low thermal resistance package that combines very low insertion loss, good isolation, excellent power handling (40W C/W), and low distortion.

Cobham has been awarded a $39 M contract from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to manufacture the AN/ALQ-99 Low Band Transmitter-Antenna Group for U.S. Navy and Marine Corps EA-6B and EA-18G EW aircraft.
