 HYPERLABS Inc. has announced the release of two new high-speed triggerable impulse generators. 

 At European Microwave Week (EuMW), Rohde & Schwarz presented an extremely compact solution with up to four RF outputs for generating phase-coherent signals up to 20 GHz. This test solution is ideal for aerospace and defense applications, for example to test multichannel antenna systems such as phased array antennas.  

CST STUDIO SUITE is used by engineers and researchers working across the electromagnetic spectrum to model systems and optimize designs. Its tightly-integrated solvers cover a broad range of frequencies and geometrical scales, and are complemented by more specialized technology for applications such as PCBs, cables, thermal analysis, and charged particle devices.

Aerospace engineers use CST STUDIO SUITE to design and optimize antennas and arrays, to analyze their installed performance, and to calculate cosite interference between antenna systems. The upcoming release of CST STUDIO SUITE 2015 will significantly enhance its antenna design offering with the integration of the new Phased Array Wizard.

RCS is an important consideration when designing new equipment, and is something that CST has long supported. The 2015 release builds on the previous RCS capabilities of CST STUDIO SUITE by adding the ability to produce RCS maps – plots of RCS phase or amplitude against frequency and scan angle – with the shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) asymptotic solver. RCS maps give engineers a more detailed view of the cross-section of a platform, and can be used to help identify potential scatterers.

Computer Simulation Technology AG (CST) previewed the upcoming version of its flagship electromagnetic simulation tool, CST STUDIO SUITE® 2015, at European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2014. 

 With the new PicoScope^® 9341 20 GHz Sampling Oscilloscope, engineers can analyze two differential or four single-ended high-speed signals. The instrument is ideal for measuring skew and crosstalk between differential pairs on serial buses such as HDMI, SATA and PCIe, and for testing signal integrity at differential and single-ended transceiver ports. Data rates up to 40 Gb/s can be viewed, with 5th-harmonic characterization possible up to 8 Gb/s. 

Mesuro Ltd., with support from National Instruments, announced its latest advance in the utilization of PXI to improve the speed of test for today’s technical demand. At European Microwave Week the two organizations demonstrated a load pull set up that uses a traditional passive tuner for fundamental tuning and adds the RAPID PXI digital tuner to provide a high speed harmonic tuning capability. 

 At European Microwave Week in Rome, Italy, San-tron displayed a growing line of pSeries pressurized connectors which provide low-loss and high-stability performance through 30 GHz at +/-65 psi. 

Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced the new flagship of its X-Series: the N9040B UXA signal analyzer. The UXA delivers industry-leading phase noise performance as well as 510-MHz analysis and real-time bandwidths.
