Nitronex has been awarded a Phase I SBIR to develop a highly efficient 20W X-band GaN power amplifier MMIC for use in long range RF telecommunications. Since 2005, Nitronex has won 16 government contract awards that have funded the development of materials, devices, discretes, MMICs, and process technologies, as well as manufacturing maturation.

EB (Elektrobit Corp.) has introduced the EB Propsim F32 radio channel emulator for testing the performance of wireless networks, base stations, terminals and chipsets utilizing multi-antenna and multi-radio technologies.

CRFS announces the public launch of its RFeye^® real-time spectrum monitoring and white spaces tracking network. This pilot network has been trialled by CRFS initially in Cambridge as part of the Cambridge TV White Spaces trial. CRFS now plans to roll out a larger network in London to coincide with the various major events being held in London in July and August.

LeCroy Corp. announces the extension of its LabMaster 10 Zi product line to 65 GHz, from a previously-announced 60 GHz, and unveils a roadmap to provide 100 GHz of real-time bandwidth in the LabMaster 10 Zi platform. The improvement to 65 GHz is made possible by outstanding results achieved with 8HP SiGe chipsets. The world’s first 100 GHz real-time oscilloscope using LeCroy’s patented Digital Bandwidth Interleave™ (DBI) technology will be available in calendar year 2013.

The products include the company’s high-performance microwave signal generators, broadband microwave power amplifiers, and extensive line of power meters and power sensors.

Pulse Electronics Corp. introduces a high performance programmable antenna that enables LTE connectivity on mobile-connected laptop computers. The antenna can switch frequencies easily to accommodate both low and high operating bands. With a maximum height of 1mm, this low profile antenna fits the design of ultra thin laptops.
