Micronetics Receives $2.2 M for Subassemblies

September 4, 2008

Micronetics Inc. announced that its subsidiary Microwave Concepts Inc. has booked an order from a leading RF subsystem manufacturer. This order, totaling $2.2 M, is for a highly integrated microwave subassembly that is a key element of the communications system providing in-flight internet access on commercial and business aircraft.

David Robbins, chief executive officer of Micronetics, said, “This order further validates the ongoing demand for in-flight broadband connectivity. There are FAA approvals needed before wide-scale deployment can happen, and we are working hard to expedite this process. All testing has been successfully completed and once FAA review and evaluations are complete, we expect rapid production and delivery requirements for this equipment. This order is anticipated to ship over a six-month period.”
