Q Microwave Announces New Customizable RF Filters

June 7, 2007

Q Microwave Inc., a designer and manufacturer of quick-turn and low cost RF and microwave filter products, announced a new line of RF filters customized for RF and microwave system requirements operating over the range of 500 MHz to 6 GHz.

The new filters are available in low cost, surface-mount technology (SMT) package designs for high reliability and ease of assembly. These filters are excellent solutions for use in identification friend or foe (IFF) systems or any other applications requiring rugged and robust filter designs in demanding environments.

Q Microwave's ceramic filters are specifically designed to meet the harsh environmental requirements of homeland security, military and industrial equipment including electronic warfare (EW) systems, identification friend or foe (IFF) systems, transceiver systems and radar systems. The customized filters also meet the many requirements of commercial applications.

These custom filters are of a ceramic resonator design that provide excellent operating performance, including: 3 percent MHz minimum bandwidth; flat passband variation; and superior rejection performance.

Custom packaging is available including a hermetically-sealed, surface-mount package with formed leads. The filters are stable over the operating temperature of -40° to +85°C. Q Microwave's Quality System meets the requirements of ISO-9001. MIL-STD-883 testing and MIL-PRF-38534 screening are available. Q Microwave's focus is on developing these integration-ready filters based upon electrical specifications, packaging technology and customer manufacturing techniques with delivery of 28 to 42 days ARO.
