This reduced-size version of the Xinger®-brand circulator was launched as part of its Break- Through™ line-up. Some benefits of the product include: availability in 1.8, 1.9 and 2.1 GHz, time-saving "no touch" assembly (tape and reel, surface-mount), ideal for interstage locations in PA designs, a return loss of 25 dB typ, isolation of 25 dB typ, insertion loss of 0.40 dB typ., power handling of 20 W and a lead-free finish. Connector Mating Solutions

SMP Connector Series

The SMP compatible connector series has a design which provides push-on mating characteristics and facilitates tight packaging density due to its small diameter and low profile. These connectors are available in straight and right angle jacks and plugs for cable, bulkhead and PCB edge mount configurations, as well as a jack-to-jack "bullet" adapter. All jacks incorporate an anti-rock ring to preclude radial movement, while plugs are available in full detent, limited detent and smooth bore barrel configurations. Frequency coverage is from DC to 40 GHz in standard 50 Ω impedance. Custom variants are available upon request. Standard housings are manufactured in stainless steel with gold plating.

Hermetically Sealed Transfer Switch

The P/N 411NTV-2308 high power switch is a hermetically sealed transfer switch with SMA connectors that performs from DC to 1 GHz with upgrade capability up to 18 GHz. DC characteristics include 26 to 32 VDC (28 VDC nominal) with 140 mA typical at 25°C operation. Equipped with a failsafe actuator, this switch has an operating speed of 20 ms (max) but can be upgraded to switch in less than 5 ms. Designed to operate in the harsh environment typical of military applications, the switch can also be utilized as a building block for high power switchable networks. Specifications include SWR of 1.15 (max), insertion loss of 0.2 dB (max), an isolation of 85 dB (min) and RF power of 200 W CW at 400 MHz.

PCS Band Select Duplexer

The model EWT-12-0016 PCS band select duplexer is designed to operate over all of the sub-bands within the PCS frequency range. This duplexer has a passband width of 20 MHz for both the receive and transmit channels. The passband insertion loss is 0.8 dB maximum with typical SWR of 1.4 over the passband and co-channel rejection of > 70 dB. The overall size of this duplexer measures 4.12" x 2.03" x 1.50".

Solid-state Power Switch

The 50S-1128 1P2T switch covers a frequency range of 800 to 2000 MHz and has a 1.4 minimum SWR. The insertion loss is 0.5 dB typical (0.75 dB max.) at 800 to 1000 MHz, 0.75 dB typical (1.0 dB max.) at 1000 to 1600 MHz and 1.0 dB typical (1.25 dB max.) at 1600 to 2000 MHz. The isolation is 45 dB typical (40 dB min.) at 800 to 1000 MHz and 40 dB typical (38 dB min.) at 1000 to 2000 MHz. It switches 50 W peak and hot switches 10 W average. Receive Filter Assembly

Coaxial Termination

7-16 Lightning Protectors

Harmonic Mixers

High Power Waveguide Circulators

These high power waveguide circulators are space qualified, designed to handle high power (up to 500 W average) in a vacuum environment with a predicted multipaction level of 10 kW. The custom circulators incorporate proprietary thermal path technology which allows for efficient heat transfer out of the microwave path of the units. These WR-112 waveguide circulators have low insertion loss of 0.08 dB typ and return losses of 26 dB typ across the operating band of 7.0 to 8.5 GHz.

SMT Chip Inductors

The SG-800G chip inductor incorporates features, specifications and outline drawings that comprise the SURFCOIL® line, including the recently introduced 0201 size series, the higher current low DCR 0402 size series, the wirewound 0402 series, two wirewound 0603 size series and a higher current 1812 size series. ZMA Adapters and Cable Connectors

This is a "family" of ZMA cable connectors and in-series as well as between-series adapters. These new connectors are for use in constricted spaces and in vibrating environments. Securely latched with only a quarter hand turn, the ZMA is available in many configurations. These include cable connectors for HP190 and HP290. In addition to the in-series, between series adapters are available to TNC and SMA. ZMA connectors are electrically equivalent to SMA and are of stainless steel construction.

AMPLIFIERS

+22 dBm Low Noise Amplifier

The model AML218P3403 amplifier operates in the 2 to 18 GHz frequency range, provides a minimum 34 dB gain with an output power at 1 dB gain compression of +22 dBm minimum. Noise figure is below 3 dB across the entire bandwidth. Input and output SWR is 2.0 nominal. Operating at +15 VDC, this amplifier typically draws 360 mA current. Internal DC regulator, reverse voltage protection and field removable SMA(f) connector shells are standard. The product is packaged in an AML housing measuring 1.16 inches long by 0.75 inches wide. 75 W Broadband Amplifier

The model 75A400 broadband amplifier spans the frequency range from 10 kHz to 400 MHz. This amplifier meets the need for a dependable, cost-efficient amplifier for conducted susceptibility testing per DO-160D. This commercial aircraft standard differs from the IEC standard in that the frequency range is broader - 10 kHz to 400 MHz, instead of IEC's 150 kHz to 80 MHz. The model 75A400 meets the aircraft standards and is also ideal for antenna and component testing. This self-contained, air-cooled, solid state amplifier unit has a rated power output of 75 W. X-band Low Noise Amplifier

The model NLC00408 low noise amplifier with single supply using a thin film hybrid MIC process achieves robust characteristics over a temperature range of -30° to +70°C. The amplifier incorporates an internally protected voltage regulator, reverse polarity protection and can be biased in a wide range of DC voltage, with 1 dB compression point of 13 dBm typical. Downconverter Modules

The CV multi-chip module (MCM) converter series is a line of surface-mount downcoverter modules for current and next generation mobile infrastructure base station applications. ANTENNAS

Spiral Antenna

The model A4430, cavity-backed spiral antenna provides broadband coverage from X through Ka frequency bands. This antenna is designed for airborne subsonic or supersonic electronic warfare (EW) or communication, navigation and identification (CNI) applications. The antenna is available in phase and/or amplitude matched sets, can be lefthand-circularly or righthand-circularly polarized, and provides gain of -2 dBic at 8 GHz, +3 dBic at 18 GHz and -3 dBic at 40 GHz. It weighs 1.2 ounces, includes an integral 2.99 mm coaxial connector and custom protective radomes can be provided. This spiral antenna is particularly well suited for EW or CNI applications where weight and size are at a premium, such as on UAVs. Ceiling Mount Antenna

EMI Shielding Gaskets

These GORE-SHIELD® GS8000 EMI gaskets are ideal for applications that require conformability, good inter-cavity EMI shielding and conductivity at low compressive forces. The gasket's low closure force makes them suitable for flexible housing materials and allows for reduction of screw locations. Less than 3.4 N/cm of pressure is required to compress the gaskets from a nominal starting thickness of 1 mm to a compressed thickness of 0.4 mm. At this point, DC resistance is less than 10 mW for a 19 mm2 donut, and shielding effectiveness is greater than 90 dB.

10 W GaAs FET

The AM 300MX-CU is part of a series of GaAS MESFET products. This device has a total gate width of 30 mm and is offered in a specially designed ceramic package with straight leads and flange in a drop-in mounting style. The flange at the bottom of the package serves simultaneously as DC ground, RF ground and thermal path. Typical performance at 3.0 GHz (TA = 25°C) when Vds = 7 V and Ids = 0.5 Idss is P1db = 39.5 dBm; Eff at P1db = 30 percent; gain (small signal) 9 dB, IP3 = 51 dBm. This RF connector cap press holds and aligns right angle RF connectors and presses in the end cap after the connector is terminated to a cable. The special feature of this tool is the fixturing to support any connector in the proper location so that the pressure required to press the cap in does not damage any part of the connector. PCB Plotter

This GENESYS suite of design software is now available in an international version. This release of version 2003.03, will offer power, speed and accuracy of GENESYS for engineers and designers for whom English is not their first language. Designers can now label parts, write equations and notes, and name files and workspace objects in their native languages. This may be Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Russian, or any language compatible with Microsoft Windows. Designers use their local language keyboards, and key layouts may be easily changed to support multilingual workspaces. PLL Calculator

This Web-based phase lock loop (PLL) phase noise calculator tool is written in Java. Synthe- sizer designers will find this tool useful for selecting the HMC divider, phase frequency detector and VCO product to simulate and achieve optimal PLL phase noise. The calculated output depicts the phase noise of each of the PLL elements along with the PLL synthesizer phase noise. Phase-locked Frequency Synthesizers

These phase-locked frequency synthesizers are ideally suited for use as low cost solutions for broadband test oscillators. TCXO

High Frequency TCVCXO

Fast Indirect Synthesizer

This fast indirect synthesizer (FIS) has settling times of typically 15 microseconds. The FIS will cover a basic frequency range of 2 to 18 GHz with options to expand it to 0.5 to 20 GHz. Power output is +10 dBm, minimum. The FIS offers dual mode capability. In the free-running DTO mode, the specifications are similar to those of General Microwave's high performance model D6218 2 to 18 GHz DTO. High Performance Voltage-controlled Oscillator

Noise Module

The NC1128A amplified noise module is for 10 Gbps electro/opto interface testing. This module produces amplified noise over the entire 10 MHz to 10 GHz range. The NC1128A offers an output noise density of -117 for a total output power larger than -17 dBm. The noise has a quality crest factor larger than 5:1 and an impedance match better than 2:1. The noise module is used to set the signal-to-noise ratio at the electro/opto interface for noise figure and bit-error-rate testing.

RF/IF Coaxial Matrix

The model 10840 32 x 32 RF/IF coaxial matrix switching unit connects any of 32 inputs to any combination of 32 outputs under RS-232 or IEE-488 control. These stable devices are specifically designed for the 2.4 and 5 GHz ISM bands, respectively, and deliver a robust -80 dBm/Hz spectral density output to perform a full suite of interference tests whether in the R&D lab or for production test.

Hard Metric Cable Assemblies

This system is configurable to any shielding location and can utilize any coax cable with a maximum O.D. of 0.068". Group skew in the wafer or from wafer to wafer can be maintained accurately to within a few picoseconds to ensure all of the signals arrive at the same time. 2 mm hard metric (complies with IEC 1076-4-101) for cable to board applications with minimum cross talk and signal rise times measured in picoseconds. The HM system is a modular 2 mm signal-contact-pitch cable connector with pins arranged to stackable 1 x 5 wafers for optimum performance.
