750 - 790 MHz Frequency Synthesizer
The model PSA-770C low phase noise synthesizer covers a frequency range of 750 to 790 MHz. Spurious suppression is better than -65 dBc and second harmonic suppression exceeds -15 dBc. In addition, phase noise is -100 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset and -120 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset. The step size is adjustable. The synthesizer operates from a 5 V supply and is low cost in volume purchases. Size: 0.940" x 0.940" x 0.232".

Ultra-miniature Surface-mount Oscillators
The 5 V M5M and the 3.3 V M3M series ultra-miniature surface-mount oscillators are available in a broad frequency range from 1.8 to 50 MHz. The oscillators are suitable for use in portable applications such as portable telephone and communication devices, mobile LAN devices, palmtop and laptop PCs and other applications with space limitations. The units feature stability of +/-50 ppm over an operating temperature of 0° to +70°C. In addition, the oscillators provide a HCMOS-/TTL-compatible output and are available with tristate output. The rugged leadless ceramic package is compatible with most standard reflow processes and is available on tape and reel.

YIG Oscillator
The model YOM1722 yttrium iron garnet (YIG) oscillator covers a double-octave frequency range of 3.5 to 9.5 GHz. RF power output is +17 dBm (typ) with linearity of +/-3 GHz. The unit has low FM noise of 125 dBc at 10 kHz. The oscillator can be integrated with an analog or 12-bit digital driver if required. The unit is suitable for use in synthesizers, spectrum analyzers, sweepers, electronic countermeasure systems and other microwave equipment.

Low Noise WLAN VCO
The model V630ME13 surface-mount VCO operates over the frequency range of 2700 to 2900 MHz and is designed for use in WLAN applications. The unit enhances designs by exhibiting a pure signal source of -95 dBc/Hz (typ) at 10 kHz offset while attenuating the second harmonic to better than -15 dBc. The oscillator conserves energy by operating off a 4.5 V DC supply while typically drawing 18 mA. The unit provides the end user 4.75 dBm (nom) of output power into a 50 W load and is specified to operate over the extended commercial temperature range of 0° to 85°C. In addition, the VCO pushes less than 10 MHz/V within a five percent change in the supply voltage and pulls less than 30 MHz with a 14 dB return loss (any phase). Price: $15 each.

High Spectral Purity Frequency Synthesizers
The LNS series high spectral purity frequency synthesizers are designed for low data rate applications where low phase noise performance is critical. The synthesizers are available in the X-band frequency range with step sizes to 1 kHz. Output power is +13 dBm (typ) and higher power options are available. The units are of modular construction in a low profile outline. Frequency control is via TTL-parallel BCD format (serial RS422 also is available). The units are equipped with lock alarm, a quick disconnect connector for DC power and frequency control.
