Thin-film Directional Couplers
The CP0805 series thin-film directional couplers feature typical coupling performance of 16 dB over a wide frequency range. The units are available in two basic configurations with five different coupling types that feature characteristic impedance of 50 W, maximum insertion loss of 0.25 dB and maximum SWR of 1.2. The first configuration features four frequency ranges between 890 and 960 MHz for Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) and Advanced Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) applications. The second configuration features seven frequency ranges from 1710 MHz to 2.484 GHz for personal communications service (PCS), personal communications network (PCN), personal handyphone, Digital European Cordless Telephone and wireless local area network (WLAN) applications. The couplers are constructed using a multilayer thin-film element with nickel/solder terminations that are compatible with reflow, wave and vapor phase soldering techniques. The operating temperature range is from –40° to +85°C. Price: 33¢ each in production quantities.

Reverse-polarity RF Coaxial Connectors
These BNC, SMA and TNC connectors feature insulators and center contacts that are reversed in polarity from standard connectors. (All other parts are unchanged from standard configurations.) The polarized connectors can be supplied with color marks or bands for identification and are available with a variety of options, including cable plugs and jacks; panel and bulkhead receptacles; and nickel or silver body plating for BNC and TNC types, gold or passivated finish for SMA types and Albaloy plating for BNC and TNC types.

High Power, Multichannel Backup Switch
The 4D5 series low cost, high power, five-pole, four-throw coaxial switch with SMA connectors is designed for cell site amplifier switching. The switch operates from DC to 3 GHz and features multiple inputs and outputs with one redundant output. In addition, the unit connects multiple amplifiers with multiple signal sources to the output of multiple amplifiers and antennas. Insertion loss is 0.2 dB (max), isolation is 60 dB (min), SWR is 1.2 (max), power handling is 50 W CW and switching time is 15 ms.

High Voltage Resistor
This high voltage resistor is designed for use in UHF and VHF transmitter and RF sputtering applications. Its 4 kV design offers improved breakdown voltage performance over standard RF resistors. Power handling is 750 W. Lower power models are available up to 500 MHz. The unit also is available flangeless or as a termination.

PIN Diode Drivers
These PIN diode drivers are fully screened to MIL-STD-883 and are packaged in low profile flatpacks or as unpackaged populated substrates that are readily integrated into switch housings. The drivers offer reverse voltage protection, 10 to 100 ns switching speeds, 10 to 200 mA output currents, TTL gate inputs, SPST to SP6T (one to six channels each with independent inverting and noninverting capability), VCC = +5 V and VEE = –5 to –15 V.

Two-part Connectors
The QUICK-FIT™ series connectors assemble quickly to all popular 1.25" and 1.625" corrugated cables. The two-part design easily attaches to cable with no special tools. The fail-safe assembly of the mechanical interconnect is suitable for operator in-field installations. Available in both 7/16 and type N interfaces, the connectors feature a triple-gasket design (corrugation, jacket and center conductor) that passes the IP 68 (IEC 529) standard for moisture resistance. The units exhibit low passive intermodulation of –155 dBc. The temperature range is from –40° to +185°F.

5.8 GHz Low Loss, ISM-band Ceramic Filter
This 5.8 GHz ceramic bandpass filter is designed for upper industrial, scientific and medical (ISM)-band applications and provides less than 1.2 dB passband insertion loss over a two percent bandwidth. Typical rejection is better than 35 dBc at 5.286 and 6.41 GHz. SMT or thru-hole configurations are available. The unit is reflowable, suitable for pick and place, and available with tape-and-reel packaging.

Surface-mount PIN Diode Attenuators
The PI-800 series attenuators from the company’s Surfpac line feature good intermodulation performance from 100 MHz to GHz compared to GaAs alternatives, and are designed for use in PCS and cellular base stations. The attenuators combine a narrow bandwidth with an insertion loss of 0.6 dB (max) for a model with a 0 to 20 dB attenuation range. The attenuators feature an SWR of 1.5 (max) and typical frequency bandwidths include 1.84 to 1.95 GHz and 3.5 to 4 GHz. Size: 0.750" x 0.550" x 0.025".

PCS Filters
The models WF-00004 and WF-00007 full-band PCS transmit and receive filters offer high selectivity and low insertion loss in a small package. Each filter offers a passband insertion loss of less than 0.9 dB (0.8 dB (typ)) and a passband flatness of less than 0.4 dB. Rejection frequencies for the receive band are DC to 1830 MHz greater than 40 dB and 1930 to 1990 MHz greater than 60 dB. Rejection frequencies for the transmit band are DC to 1910 MHz greater than 60 dB and 2010 to 6000 MHz greater than 50 dB. Return loss for each filter is better than 15 dB. Surface-mount Filter
The model SB-60/2 surface-mount filter is available with a 50 or 75 W impedance and is centered at 600 MHz. Insertion loss is 3 dB (max) and SWR is 1.5 (typ). In addition, minimum rejection is 20 dB at 50 MHz, 30 dB at 70 MHz, 45 dB at 35 MHz and 60 dB at 85 MHz. Ultimate rejection is 40 dB to 2500 MHz. Size: 1.00" x 0.25" x 0.28".

Surface-mount Resistor Networks
The SMR series high reliability precision resistor networks are designed for fine-pitch, surface-mount applications. The resistors feature a lead pitch of 0.031" and are available in four to 16 pin out styles. The standard value range is 2 W to 10 MW in isolated or common-bussed configurations with tolerances to 0.5 percent. Temperature coefficient of resistances are available to 100 ppm/°C. The protruding, five-sided, nickel-barrier terminations enhance solder attachment and inspection. The footprint for the model SMR 8 four-resistor network is a 1206 case size.

28.16 - 28.37 GHz Bandpass Filter
The model 12218 bandpass filter passes the frequencies of 28.16 to 28.37 GHz and suppresses lower sideband interference and unwanted carriers contained in the output of the mixer in local multipoint distribution service (LMDS) transmitters. The unit features a passband loss of 1.5 dB (max), return loss of 16 dB (min) and stopband attenuation of 60 dB (min) from 27.45 to 27.66 GHz and 30 dB (min) at 27.91 GHz. Input level is –10 dBm (max), operating temperature is 0° to 50°C and humidity is 99 percent noncondensing. The unit is supplied standard with WR28 cover flanges.

Four-way Power Splitter/Combiner
The model ZB4PD1-5.8 4.6 to 5.8 MHz, four-way, 0° power splitter/combiner delivers high 25 dB (typ) isolation, low 0.4 dB (typ) insertion loss above 6 dB and typically low in/out SWR of 1.1 and 1.15, respectively. 1750 - 1990 MHz 90° Hybrid Couplers
The models S03A1870N1 (100 W CW) and S03B1870N2 (200 W CW) surface-mount 90° hybrid couplers operate over a frequency range of 1750 to 1990 MHz and are constructed using leadless, nonceramic, bonded stripline circuitry with plated-thru technology. The S03A1870N1 has a low insertion loss of less than 0.3 dB and the S03B1870N2 has an insertion loss of less than 0.2 dB. Both devices have an SWR of less than 1.25 and isolation of greater than 20 dB. Amplitude and phase balance are +/-0.3 dB and +/-1.5°, respectively. 75 W Programmable Attenuator
The model 3250 1 W programmable attenuator is designed for wireless, PCS, cellular and modem test applications, and is available with an optional TTL interface/driver or SmartStep circuitry. Low Frequency, High Power Directional Couplers
These low frequency, high power directional couplers offer accurate coupling, low insertion loss and high directivity in a compact package. The standard units are optimized for octave bandwidths and are available with a choice of coupling values (20 or 30 dB). The units are designed for sampling power with a negligible effect on the transmission line and very low intermodulation products. Six-bit Digital Phase Shifter
The model DPS660.9-90HPA six-bit, switched-line phase shifter features a phase range of 0° to 90° in 1.4° steps. Centered at 915 MHz, it has an operating bandwidth of 200 MHz, phase accuracy of +/-1° and a linear phase vs. frequency response.
