Crane introduces down-leaded point of load Interpoint MFP Series

July 15, 2013

Crane Aerospace & Electronics announced the introduction of a new, down-leaded version of its Interpoint MFP Series Point of Load (POL) converters. This new version, available in both flanged and non-flanged packages, is a single output 16 watt dc-dc converter providing output voltages from 0.64 to 3.5 V from a source voltage of 3 to 6 V with up to 90 percent efficiency. The MFP is small, measuring just 1.2 x 1.2 inches (30.5 x 30.5 mm) and includes built-in filtering and transient protection, eliminating the need for additional supporting circuitry. The MFP’s wide output range allows the power system engineer to specify and qualify one device for many output voltage applications.

“By adding a down-leaded package,” said Ed Fuhr, Vice President of Power Solutions for Crane Aerospace & Electronics, “we are providing the additional design versatility and flexibility our customers are asking for.”
