Azimuth enhances field-to-lab test capabilities with AzMapper 2.5
Azimuth Systems Inc., a provider of automated, real-world mobile performance test solutions, announced the availability of AzMapper 2.5, the latest version of its mapping and analysis application for real world performance testing. AzMapper, a critical component of Azimuth’s Field-to-Lab™ solution, enables raw data collected with drive test scanners to be thoroughly analyzed and used to recreate that same radio environment through intelligent mapping of the logged field conditions to the available lab testbed. With AzMapper 2.5, Field-to-Lab (FTL) offers increased scanner and protocol support as well as new features for ease of use, analysis and reporting. FTL’s extensive multi-scanner, multi-protocol support is a direct reflection of customer demand for FTL’s industry leading capabilities and ensures that FTL will continue to deliver exceptional performance insights along with increasing test productivity for both lab and field organizations.
The Azimuth Field-to-Lab solution allows service providers and equipment manufacturers to replay real world channel conditions collected from drive testing in Azimuth’s ACE Channel Emulators. AzMapper is an essential element of the FTL solution and plays a key role in enabling users to leverage their drive test capability. FTL and AzMapper enable operators, device, infrastructure and chipset OEMs to visualize the drive test through dynamic replay, profile multiple drives to compare performance, and recreate the drive test in the lab for faster benchmarking and analysis in real world environments.
AzMapper 2.5 enhancements include:
- New features and support for WQuest and XCAL
- New algorithms for TD-SCDMA optimization
- Enhanced GSM and CDMA 2000 support
- GUI Enhancements- NPD based histograms for LTE; SINR based histograms for LTE; Ec/Io, RSSI, NPD plots in per Channel Tab
“Field-to-Lab is a vital element of mobile performance testbeds at Tier 1 operators, OEMs and chipset vendors worldwide, and we continue to improve it based on feedback from these customers,” said Amit Malhotra, VP of software products, Azimuth Systems. “FTL fits within our broader portfolio of network emulation and testbed automation solutions to enable unparalleled end-to-end analysis of user experience, device performance and network events.”
