SELEX Galileo joins PXI system alliance

January 16, 2012

SELEX Galileo, a Finmeccanica Company and leader in defense electronics, has become an associate member of the PXI System Alliance (PXISA) organization after adopting the use of PXI technology. PXI is a modular instrumentation platform designed for measurement and automation applications and the PXISA is an industry consortium that promotes the PXI standard.

The decision to design PXI-standard boards was due to SELEX Galileo’s internal use of National Instruments Corporation’s PXI platform and LabVIEW software environment. The company considers its new PXI boards, in conjunction with National Instruments’ hardware and software environment, the baseline for future core test systems design.

SELEX Galileo has been designing boards using the PXI standard since January 2010 and has recently launched the new Video Pattern Generator and Captor (VPGc) PXI board which is claimed to be unmatched in performance in areas such as waveform generation.
