Former TriQuint Modeling Expert to rev up M/A-COM Tech’s new product platform development efforts

Lowell, MA, January 11, 2010 – M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of semiconductors, active and passive components and subassemblies for radio frequency (RF), microwave and millimeter wave applications, is announcing that Wayne Struble has joined the company as a Distinguished Fellow of Technology.

Wayne is a proven industry expert and innovator with more than 25 years of experience in GaAs device modeling and MMIC design. Wayne has prior experience with M/A-COM Technology Solutions, having served as Distinguished Fellow of Technology and Director of Technology for the company’s GaAs Fab in Lowell prior to his departure in 2002.

Most recently, Wayne was one of four Senior Fellows at TriQuint Semiconductor. Between his time at M/A-COM Tech and TriQuint, he worked a short stint at Hittite where he developed their line of high dynamic range mixers. He began his career with a 13-year stay at Raytheon’s Research Division where he had the opportunity to learn from many of the pioneers in GaAs device modeling and MMIC design.

“Wayne’s unique grasp of modeling, design, device and process technology, particularly in the area of GaAs MMICs, enables him to almost innovate on demand,” says Mike Murphy, Vice President of Engineering, M/A-COM Technology Solutions. “We are very fortunate to have him back on our team.”

“M/A-COM Tech is positioned for fantastic growth,” says Wayne Struble. “It offers incredibly strong technology that delivers extraordinary value to our customers and it has a highly energized and talented team. I am very excited about being back and helping drive our leadership position in our marketplaces.”
