Agilent Technologies' Series of High-Bandwidth Oscilloscopes Named "Test Product of the Year"

March 5, 2007
SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 5, 2007 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that its 80000B Series oscilloscopes were voted "Test Product of the Year" by readers of Test & Measurement World magazine. The scopes also were awarded a "Best in Test" award in the oscilloscope category by the magazine's editors. The high-bandwidth Agilent 80000B Series real-time oscilloscopes provide industry-leading signal integrity and probing for high-speed electronics applications, which are key to making the most accurate measurements on today's low-level, high-speed digital signals. The 80000B Series is the industry's lowest-noise oscilloscope and the industry's only scope family that lets users upgrade the bandwidth later when they need to test faster signals. Eight Agilent 80000B models cover the range of 2 GHz to 13 GHz bandwidth. The "Best in Test" awards are presented annually by the editors of Test & Measurement World to honor important and innovative new products and services in the electronics test and measurement industry. "We are honored to receive these prestigious awards from the readers and editors of Test & Measurement World," said Jay Alexander, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Design Validation Division. "The awards reinforce that making the most accurate measurements is what drives our customers today, especially when they are working with high-speed serial buses using low-voltage differential signaling." The Agilent E2960B Series protocol analyzer/exerciser for PCI Express II, N9020A, the Agilent MXA signal analyzer and Agilent Medalist iVTEP vectorless test software received "Best in Test Honorable Mention" awards. About the 80000B Series The 80000B Series' superior signal integrity means it has the lowest measurement uncertainty on low-level, differential signals. The signal integrity performance is enabled by Agilent's RF design expertise, proprietary packaging technologies and unique CMOS ADC architecture. Each model of the Infiniium 80000B series offers the industry's lowest noise floor at its particular bandwidth. Additional signal integrity advantages of the series include the industry's lowest jitter measurement floor, lowest trigger jitter and flattest frequency response. The Agilent 80000B Series also offers a unique bandwidth reduction option that allows users to reduce the measurement bandwidth and lower the noise floor. Users get the versatility of a wide-bandwidth oscilloscope that can perform like a narrower-bandwidth model. Using the Infiniium 80000B with the Agilent InfiniiMax probing system, electronic designers can configure a probing system that gives unmatched performance with unrivaled usability. Infiniium application software is available for the Infiniium 80000B Series. There are 23 application packages vital to engineers designing, debugging and verifying compliance of high-speed serial buses, RF and wireless products, and other ultra-high-speed electronics.
