Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Melville, New York-based subsidiary, Comtech PST Corp., received a $1.4 million order for broadband, solid-state, high-power RF microwave amplifier systems from an international OEM.

Harris Corp., an international communications and information technology company, has been awarded the Communications and Transmission Systems (CTS) contract by the U.S. Army. Harris was one of 12 prime contractors selected for the five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, which has a total potential value of $4 billion.

General Dynamics C4 Systems received the first production order from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for new software-defined, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) CM-300/350 UHF and VHF air traffic control (ATC) radios, related accessories and training materials. The $25 million order will begin a new chapter in ground-to-air communications as the next-generation radios deliver crisp, clear communication between pilots and air traffic controllers.

AT&T and GE announced they have signed a global alliance agreement to allow GE machines to connect to the AT&T network and cloud, creating the first highly-secure wireless communications system for GE’s “Industrial Internet.”

The U.S. Department of Defense has authorized the Army to proceed with a follow-on order of Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2 (Inc 2). The Army awarded General Dynamics C4 Systems a delivery order valued at approximately $111 million to procure the next lot of WIN-T Inc 2 network nodes for additional brigade combat teams and division headquarters units. WIN-T Inc 2 is a central component of current and future capability sets.
