Agilent Technologies Inc. announced it will display its newest test innovations ranging from handheld analyzers to high-end X-Series instruments, including new 90000X and Q oscilloscopes, PXA spectrum analyzers and PNA-X network analyzers at electronica 2012 (Hall A1, Booth 506), in Munich, Nov. 13-16.

Aeroflex Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp., announced a new test system based on its PXI 3000 Series modular instrumentation, which has been designed to offer measurements over a 160 MHz bandwidth at operating frequencies up to 6 GHz. The new system is particularly suited for making R&D, design verification, and production measurements on wireless LAN (WLAN) devices based on the IEEE 802.11ac standard, extending Aeroflex's market-leading 802.11ac measurement capability in PXI to cover the optional 160 MHz bandwidth.

Anritsu Co. introduces three software packages supporting LTE-Advanced and five packages supporting IEEE802.11ac that extend the analysis capability of its MS269xA/MS2830A signal analyzers and MG3710A/MG3700A vector signal generators. With the software installed in the instruments, developers and manufacturers of LTE-Advanced UEs and components, as well as wireless LAN (WLAN) modules and devices have accurate solutions to verify performance, speed time-to-market, and lower cost-of-test.

octoScope Inc. announced a logic implementation of its MIMO octoFade™ wireless testing solution. When applied to a wireless signal using digital signal processing, channel emulation makes the signal appear as though it has traversed a realistic space, having been reflected from walls, cars, people or other surfaces.

Agilent’s new application note describes how the 89600 VSA software’s multi-measurement capability facilitates testing wireless devices and systems handling multiple carriers and formats at the same time.
