Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that SystemVue, its premier platform for communications and aerospace/defense systems design, supports high-performance distributed computing. System architects of wireless, 4G smartphone and radar applications can now verify next-generation system performance up to 64 times faster using Linux-based grid computing managers such as the IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility.

Aeroflex Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp., announced the introduction of the new 3920B digital radio test set for Analog AM and FM, Digital P25, P25 Phase II, DMR, NXDN™, dPMR, TETRA and TEDS technologies. The 3920B features a new low phase noise RF signal generator in addition to the already advanced functionality available on the Aeroflex 3900 Series radio test sets. The 3920B is the direct replacement for all versions of the Aeroflex 3900 Series, including the 3901, the 3902, and the 3920.

The new R&S BTC broadcast test center from Rohde & Schwarz provides a complete testing environment for nearly all audio, video and multimedia applications – in a single device. The RF reference signal generator generates RF signals for all global TV and broadcasting standards and simulates transmissions. The generator can also internally analyze the audio/video functions of DUTs in realtime. The modular design provides a high degree of scalability, allowing the R&S BTC to be configured for any customer requirement. 

The LT3955, a DC/DC converter designed to operate as a constant-current source and constant-voltage regulator with an internal 3.5A switch, is now available from Linear Technology. The device’s internal PWM dimming generator makes it ideal for driving high current LEDs, and it also has features suitable for charging batteries and supercapacitors.

Aeroflex Inc. announced the addition of enhanced VSWR (return loss) and distance to fault to the tracking generator functionality of the Aeroflex 3550 Digital Radio Test System. By utilizing the sweep of the tracking generator, the 3550 can measure and display the VSWR of an antenna or find the location of one or more faults in a cable.

Anritsu Co. will be exhibiting the new P25 Phase 2 TDMA analysis capability of its S412E LMR Master, as part of its portfolio of test solutions to address the key technologies associated with public safety networks – including LTE, narrowband and P25 – during IWCE 2013 in Las Vegas, March 11-15.

NuWaves Engineering, an international Radio Frequency (RF) and Embedded Systems solutions provider, announced that two of its module-level RF products, the Multi-Octave RF Upconverter (MORF™) and the ConvertaWave2™ Downconverter, have been selected by ViaSat Inc. to be embedded in the company’s VRG-1000 RF Signal Environment Generator product line.
