Carlisle Companies Inc. announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire the Thermax–Raydex business, a leading global supplier of high-performance hook-up, data and coaxial wire and cable for mission-critical applications for commercial aerospace, defense and industrial customers.
In early fall C4i was called upon to assist a high altitude search and rescue training facility located in the mountains of eastern California. The base dispatch center was having difficulty communicating across a high peak to personnel on the other side, as well as with aircraft. The field team operated in a very rugged, remote area and needed a way to communicate with members who worked at the main buildings, however the groups were separated by a mountain range 3 miles (5 km) away.

Cobham has been awarded a $31.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) to manufacture the AN/ALQ-99 Low Band Transmitter-Antenna Group for Navy and Marine Corps EA-6B and EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft. The contract funds the sixth full-rate production lot, and includes the first installment of two-part procurement for a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to undisclosed customers.
Rockwell Collins completed the first installation of the next generation ARC-210 Gen5 radio on an HH-60G Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) helicopter for the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard (ANG).

Cassidian has won a €50 million programme to equip the airfields of the Royal Canadian Airforce with latest-technology airport surveillance radars. The Canadian contracting authority Public Works and Services Canada has selected Cassidian to deliver seven of its ASR NG airport surveillance radars to improve the flight safety on Canadian airbases and to enhance the integration of military aviation into civil air traffic. Cassidian is working together with Lockheed Martin Canada as a strong local partner in this project.
