NEC Corp. has launched the compact MB4300 all-in-one LTE base station system, which has been designed for a wide range of installation options in areas with limited space, such as rooftops and compact indoor spaces. Researchers from Rice University unveiled a new multi-antenna technology that could help wireless providers keep pace with the voracious demands of data-hungry smartphones and tablets.
