New bandwidths, mixed-signal analysis and options for testing USB interfaces, CAN LIN buses and audio signals: Rohde & Schwarz significantly expanded its oscilloscope portfolio in 2012. At the embedded world 2013 trade fair in Nuremberg (hall 4, booth 112), the company will present its latest applications, two new probes and other state-of-the-art products.

Pentek Inc.announced rackmount additions to its Talon® RF/IF signal recording and playback systems. The Model RTS 2707 rackmount system, and Model RTR 2747 rugged rackmount system, offer recording and playback of RF/IF signals up to 700 MHz with signal bandwidths up to 200 MHz.

Rohde & Schwarz performs together with ASTRI a live test on a 2x2 MIMO base station in the uplink and downlink at the Mobile World Congress 2013. Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) provides an LTE-Advanced small cell as the device under test. What makes this demonstration special is that the 2x2 MIMO signal is generated and analyzed using only a single measuring instrument each.    

SenarioTek announced the extension of the FlexMatrix reconfigurable RF switch matrix series to incorporate external signal conditioning. Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced its new E6607C EXT wireless communications test set, featuring an integrated multiport adapter for cost-effective, high-volume wireless device manufacturing test. Optimized for testing multiple devices simultaneously, the EXT-C with integrated multiport adapter enables up to 3x gain in effective test throughput (vs. the EXT-B) for less than 1.3x the price.

Teseq Inc., a leading developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, now offers a double-ridged horn antenna that has a frequency range of 6 to 18 GHz.  The new PMM DR-01 is designed for radiated emissions and immunity applications, featuring an antenna factor of 36 dB/m to 41 dB/m and excellent sensitivity for emissions measurements.
