RF Micro Devices Inc. announced it has teamed with Silicon Laboratories Inc. to deliver Sub-GHz solutions for a broad range of smart grid applications.
Skyworks Solutions Inc., an innovator of high reliability analog semiconductors enabling a broad range of end markets, announced it has introduced analog solutions for low-noise receivers being used in high-sensitivity radio frequency (RF) automotive highway tag applications, including toll tag transponder systems. Skyworks’ devices are being deployed across 40 million transponders supporting small signal RF applications where primary DC power is not available.
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that AT4 Wireless Test Systems’ business assets are now part of Agilent. The two companies had announced an acquisition agreement on July 16. Financial details were not disclosed.
Tektronix Component Solutions, a custom microelectronics services provider, announced an agreement with leading supply chain aggregator MOSIS to help customers develop complete, high-performance ASIC solutions while reducing the cost of early-stage ASIC development. Through the use of multi-project wafer runs for device prototyping and package development early in the design cycle, customers can costeffectively improve the time to first packaged ASIC.
National Instruments introduced test solutions for 802.11ac WLAN and Bluetooth low-energy technology that combine NI graphical system design software and modular, FPGA-based PXI instrumentation to provide high-performance test capabilities that are completely user-programmable. These test solutions along with other cellular, navigation and wireless connectivity solutions from NI, help engineers thoroughly test their devices on a single high-performance platform.
EM Solutions’ Ka-Band satcom on the move (SOTM) terminal has successfully completed WGS Phase 2 certification testing in Brisbane, passing all tests.
