DuPont Microcircuit Materials (MCM) is introducing a new series of screen printed conductive ink materials for the printed electronics market, designed to offset the rising cost of silver. Utilizing proprietary technology and under typical processing conditions used for many printed electronic applications, DuPont PE8XX series conductive inks can provide low resistivity with 20 percent or more potential cost savings for manufacturers.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has announced the appointment of Bob Ferrante as vice president of the microwave solution of the electronics group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. In his role, Ferrante is responsible for operations of all electronics group microwave solutions locations, including Beverly, MA, Chandler, AZ, West Caldwell, NJ and San Jose, Costa Rica. He will be located in West Caldwell, NJ.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., hosted a meeting and facility tour with Rep. Rick Larson, WA -02, on July 27 at the Lynnwood, WA site. Larsen was interested in learning more about Crane, Crane’s involvement in the community, and Crane’s opportunities and needs in the aerospace and defense industry, especially since Crane will be part of the newly-defined second district.

Murata Electronics North America Inc. and its parent company Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd., the world’s number one supplier of passive electronic components, announced that it has closed the deal to acquire RF Monolithics Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “RFM”). The cash transaction paid the holders of RFM common shares $1.78 per share.
