Richardson RFPD Inc. announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new internally matched, low noise amplifier (LNA) in a small 2x2mm DFN package from TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. (TriQuint).
Linear Technology Corp. introduces three low power 16-bit, 20Msps analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), the LTC2269, LTC2270 and LTC2271, offering the lowest input-referred noise and tight integral nonlinearity error (INL) for very high precision DC measurements. With only 46µVRMS input noise and maximum guaranteed INL error of ±2.3LSB, these ADCs are suitable for very low noise, high linearity sampling applications such as digital x-ray, infrared and medical imaging, pachymeters, spectrometry and cytometry.
Analog Devices Inc. (ADI), a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications and leading provider of RF ICs (radio frequency integrated circuits), announced the release of a PLL synthesizer that offers leading phase noise performance. An upgrade to the widely used 4-GHz ADF4153 fractional-N PLL, the new, pin- and software-compatible ADF4153A PLL synthesizer facilitates improved integrated phase noise in a variety of applications including communications infrastructure, pulse-Doppler and FMCW (frequency-modulated continuous-wave) radar applications, test and instrumentation equipment, microwave point-to-point systems, PMR (professional mobile radio), VSATs (very small aperture terminals) and aerospace systems.
Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced a high-precision PXIe frequency reference. The Agilent M9300A generates clean 10-MHz and 100-MHz signals for high-performance RF systems.
Aeroflex Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp., announced a new test system based on its PXI 3000 Series modular instrumentation, which has been designed to offer measurements over a 160 MHz bandwidth at operating frequencies up to 6 GHz. The new system is particularly suited for making R&D, design verification, and production measurements on wireless LAN (WLAN) devices based on the IEEE 802.11ac standard, extending Aeroflex's market-leading 802.11ac measurement capability in PXI to cover the optional 160 MHz bandwidth.
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced the extension of its source-corrected noise-figure measurement capability in PNA-X network analyzers to 43.5 and 50 GHz, while continuing to maintain the highest noise-figure measurement accuracy in the industry. Built directly into the Agilent PNA-X, the technique provides a complete single-connection, multiple-measurement capability for R&D and manufacturing engineers developing and testing low-noise transistors, amplifiers, frequency converters and transmit/receive modules.
Anritsu Co. introduces the MG3740A analog signal generator that outputs AM/FM/ΦM test signals for evaluation of narrowband analog radio equipment used in public safety networks and private commercial networks.
Pasternack Enterprises Inc., a leading ISO 9001:2008 manufacturer and global supplier of RF and microwave products, expands its line of high and medium output RF noise sources. This new line of noise sources is perfect for applications requiring reliable frequency levels up to 18 GHz.
