Agusta Westland has selected Thales as the supplier of compact dipping sonars to equip its Lynx light helicopters for export markets.
Thales and Vinghøg AS signed a contract for the delivery of 44 Squire battlefield surveillance radars, to be deployed by the Norwegian Armed Forces. The first 10 systems will be delivered in the second half of 2013. The last delivery is scheduled for beginning of 2017.
Thales has been tasked by the French defence procurement agency (DGA) with extending the full-IP network that supports convergence between French armed forces’ theatre networks to the entire Syracuse military SATCOM ground segment.
Thales announced a new LRIP contract for secure radios to support the U.S. Army's Nett Warrior Program. The radio is capable of providing soldiers with access to the government's classified networks at the Secret or Sensitive But Unclassified level.
The first Sea Acceptance Test (SAT) of Thales’ Active Phased Array Radar (APAR) multifunction radar on the new Iver Huitfeldt class frigates of the Royal Danish Navy was a success. The test was performed with the first APAR delivered to the Royal Danish Navy, installed on HDMS Peter Willemoes.
