The fall season is show season and we’ve got lots of events on the calendar. First up is European Microwave Week in Paris, which is rapidly approaching at the end of this month. As I mentioned in the last WaveGuide, we are organizing a new event this year, titled “The Defence/Security Executive Forum”. With speakers representing NATO, The French Defence Agency, The European Defence Agency, Strategy Analytics and an Industry Round Table, this Forum should be on your schedule if you’re planning to be in Paris. Click here for more information and registration.
Another opportunity to maximize your company’s presence at EuMW is provided via our annual show daily newsletters. There are only a few editions remaining for exclusive sponsorship, so book soon if you’re interested. Kristen Anderson provides more detail on this and our other newsletters in her contribution to this edition of the WaveGuide.
In October, MWJ will be present at AMTA (Atlanta) and 4G World (Chicago). If your company is exhibiting at either event, be sure to contact your sales representative to arrange a meeting, as we’ll be scouring the shows for news and new products to include in our show wrap-up articles.
The MILCOM event takes place in San Jose during the first week of November. MWJ has once again arranged distribution of our October “Government and Military Electronics” issue on the show floor, so if you haven’t booked your ad yet in this issue, consider doing so soon. The deadline is September 16th. For a list of some of the articles to be published, check out the Ad Bulletin.
Looking a bit further down the road, I’m pleased to announce the 2010 “Mobile Communications” supplement, to accompany the November issue of MWJ. This publication features a cover story from the Chairman of the UMTS Forum, titled “From HSPA to LTE: Mobile Broadband Evolution” and contributions from TriQuint, RFMD, Avago, KMW and Analog Devices. With bonus distribution at both the CTIA (Orlando) and Mobile World Congress (Barcelona), this is an advertising opportunity not to miss!
We wrap-up the year with exclusive distribution of our November issue at the annual Asia Pacific Microwave Conference in Yokohama, Japan. Every fourth year, this conference joins forces with a major exhibition to draw thousands of visitors to this event. MWJ will be there, covering the latest technologies coming out of this region.
Upcoming online events include our always popular MWJ/Besser Associates webinars. The October edition provides an “Overview of MIMO”, November covers “RF/microwave System Design” and “Component Modeling” is featured in December. MWJ partner Strategy Analytics will present on “MilSatCom Electronic Market Trends through 2020, with a webinar scheduled for October 26th. Sponsorship of these events provides great branding opportunities and significant lead generation. Contact your sales rep for more details.
So there’s a quick look at the months ahead and what’s on the MWJ agenda. We’re working on the finishing touches to our 2011 Editorial Calendar and Media Kit and plan to have those ready for you by the next edition of this newsletter. In the meantime, enjoy the last days of summer and get ready for a busy fall season.
