Cobham plc announced that its Cobham Defence Communications business has received further contract releases valued at US $26 M from Northrop Grumman Corp. for the ongoing supply of its ROVIS (AN/VIC-3) digital vehicular intercom systems in support of US Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) requirements. The intercom system provides enhanced communication and situational awareness to users of wheeled and tracked military vehicles including the mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) and the recently fielded M-ATV (MRAP All Terrain Vehicle). All deliveries will be made by the end of 2010.

“The demand for our digital vehicle intercom systems continues to grow, with more than 140,000 systems already fielded with 22 armies around the world,” said Cobham Defence Communications Vice President, Steve Collier.
