AWR®, a leader in high-frequency electronic design automation (EDA), announced that Sherry Hess, Vice President of Marketing, has re-launched her popular guest blog (first appearing on Microwave Journal’s website) on the AWR website. The new AWR blog is designed to provoke discussion of industry issues and trends and provide a forum for sharing tips to maximize productivity using RF and microwave design software.

The original blog, started in May 2009, has attracted a growing number of readers with discussions on a wide variety of current industry topics. In addition to Ms. Hess’s own ongoing opinions, there will also be “View from the Top” perspectives featuring AWR executives, including CEO Dane Collins and Executive Vice President Ted Miracco, a Tech Talk section with tips from AWR’s technical customer support team, and occasional "spotlight" contributions from customers, partners and industry pundits.

“The overwhelmingly positive response to my guest blog has inspired me to continue this forum on AWR’s website,” said Ms. Hess. “This is another opportunity for AWR to stay in close touch with our customers through the constant interaction and discussion spawned by an active blog. We want this blog to make our company even more approachable to customers.” Ms. Hess has more than 15 years of EDA experience in domestic and international sales, marketing, support, and management, and holds BSEE and MBA degrees from Carnegie Mellon University.

“As a guest blogger, Sherry did an excellent job of integrating her everyday impressions on life and our industry into a series of interesting and thought provoking discussions,” said David Vye, editor of Microwave Journal.

Ms. Hess’ next blog will discuss a recent Harvard Business Journal article asking the question “Is Your Company Socially Useless?” AWR invites everyone to log on and join in the discussion at www.awrcorp.com/blog.
