Trade shows are one of the best ways to get in front of your customers and prospects. In a comprehensive 2008 survey, Trade Show Trends, conducted by Exhibit Surveys Inc., the average exhibitor was spending $159 per attendee, “up $30 or 19 percent from 2006 when they spent an average of $129.” On the positive side, the survey found that most attendees were serious about purchasing and were either in a position to make an immediate transaction or recommend a purchase. For a typical national trade show with 10,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors, one can easily expect 200 leads per day. Try that on a sales call.

Still, with this current down economy, trade show exhibitors must maximize their return on marketing dollars by participating in the shows that attract the right audience, cutting expenses without sacrificing appearance/effectiveness and properly promoting the company’s presence at the show, starting before the actual event.

Microwave Journal participates in a number of trade shows each year as a media partner and exhibition manager. We associate with shows that have a commercial focus as well as defense related ones. The magazine is distributed throughout the year at the following shows:

January Issue: Bonus distribution at Mobile World Congress, DesignCon, National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE).

February Issue: Satellite 2010

March Issue: CTIA Wireless and WAMICON

April Issue: IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium (IMS)

July Issue: IEEE EMC

September Issue: European Microwave Week and 4G World

October Issue: MILCOM

November Issue: Asia Pacific Microwave Conference

December Issue: IEEE MTT-S Radio and Wireless Symposium

Special Focus

CTIA Wireless

Microwave Journal is the organizer of the 2nd annual RF/Microwave Zone pavilion at CTIA Wireless 2010. This dedicated pavilion features industry leading companies that provide components, integrated circuits, test, measurement and simulation tools as the essential ingredients for today's wireless applications and tomorrow's emerging technologies.

Your company can now have a presence at this major event, in a dedicated pavilion in the main hall of the exhibition. MWJ provides a turnkey solution with a full exhibition package for only $5,750. A limited number of booths are available, so book your booth today. For more information, contact Kristen Anderson at (781) 619-1940 or e-mail: kanderson@mwjournal.com.

IEEE MTT-S IMS

Microwave Journal is once again a media partner to the International Microwave Symposium (IMS), the world’s largest RF and microwave trade show featuring over 500 vendors. The Journal dedicates its April issue to promoting the companies and technologies making the news at this year’s big event. IMS presents the latest research and products in wireless communication, radar, RF technologies, high frequency semiconductors, electromagnetic, commercial and military RF, microwave and mm-wave electronics and applications. In January, we will discuss specific marketing and editorial opportunities that we will offer to maximize your visibility to those attending the show and even to those who stayed home.

European Microwave Week

Microwave Journal’s parent company, Horizon House, is the exhibition manager for European Microwave Week, the largest trade show dedicated to RF and microwaves in Europe. Judging from the success of previous shows, the exhibition is expected to grow in the number of visitors and delegates.

EuMW2010 provides:

• 7500 sqm of gross exhibition space

• 5000 key visitors from around the globe

• 1700 to 2000 conference delegates

• In excess of 250 exhibitors
