TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. has announced a breakthrough new RFoG amplifier for optical receivers as part of the company’s new TriAccess™ line. The announcement was made in conjunction with the SCTE Cable Tec Expo in Denver, CO, October 28-30, 2009. The new amplifier performs with less than half the equivalent input noise (EIN) of current solutions. “We believe TAT7457 will meet a critical need by enabling manufacturers to significantly extend the RFoG system link budget,” said Brian Bauer, TriQuint Product Marketing Manager for Cable and FTTH devices.
