Ceragon Networks Ltd. has signed a multi-year global supply agreement with the Hutchison 3 Group for high-capacity Ethernet microwave systems. Under the agreement, the company will provide Hutchison with its next generation high capacity Ethernet solutions including FibeAir IP-10 platform, in support of the operator’s network migration plans from TDM to IP.

FibeAir IP-10 offers a combination of advanced native TDM and native Ethernet networking in a single, highly integrated mobile backhaul platform. Supporting a wide capacity range of 10 Mbps to 500 Mbps over a single radio carrier, it utilizes a single RF unit across the entire licensed frequency spectrum – from 6 GHz to 38 GHz. Advanced Adaptive Coding & Modulation helps to maximize spectrum utilization and ensure high capacity over any given bandwidth and under changing environmental conditions.

The move will enable Hutchison to enhance network capacity quickly and cost effectively, allowing it to successfully meet the growing demand for data and multimedia services across its multi-national mobile networks.

“We are extremely proud to be selected as global microwave solutions provider to one of the world’s leading operators,” said Ira Palti, President and CEO of Ceragon. “Our advanced solutions are specifically designed to support and simplify the migration from TDM to IP while reducing the network’s overall costs. This agreement reaffirms Ceragon’s position as a leading Ethernet and LTE-ready wireless backhaul solutions provider.”
