M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc., a provider of microwave and RF design solutions and products, announced a new 20 W broadband HMIC™ PIN diode SPDT switch for WiMAX, LTE and other high linearity/power applications.

“At M/A-COM Technology Solutions we are committed to developing and manufacturing products that meet the unique demands of our customers around the world. This new switch offers exceptional power handling in a very small package, while maintaining low loss and high isolation across a wide frequency range,” said Kevin Harrington, product development manager, M/A-COM Technology Solutions. “The new MASW-000825-12770T HMIC™ PIN diode switch provides our global customer base with a high-quality product that will perform seamlessly with the technologies of today and the future.”

The compact 3 mm PQFN package of the MASW-000825-12770T offers the smallest high-power solution in the industry. It also offers broadband 50 MHz to 6 GHz operation with excellent isolation to insertion loss ratio for both Tx and Rx states. Specifically, this switch achieves almost 30 dB of Tx to Rx isolation with less than 0.3 dB of associated insertion loss and 64 dBm IIP3 for the 2.3 to 2.7 GHz WiMAX band while reliably handling up to 20 W of CW power.
