UMS Opens Customer Support Center in US

United Monolithic Semiconductors (UMS), the European leader in microwave and mm-wave MMIC solutions, has opened a new design and customer support center in the US. Based in the New England area, the center will contribute to the expansion of the company’s offering with components operating from DC to 100 GHz, addressing the telecommunications infrastructure, SATCOM, automotive, defense and space, instrumentation and industrial market sectors.

UMS’s strategy is to position itself as a ‘one-stop’ supplier to the wireless microwave and millimeter-wave market, offering a broad range of standard and custom designed MMICs, along with an open foundry service. The company has two production facilities at Ulm in Germany and Orsay in France, where the product design and development are based.

It also has two sales offices, one in Shanghai, China, and the other in Totowa, NJ, US, which will be complimented by the new customer support center. UMS will use the New England center to provide its US customers with a high level of technical support and a fast response to enquiries on existing products and new custom designs.
