TRAK Microwave, a Smiths Interconnect business, announced model OSC048, an ultra low phase noise frequency source. This device is designed and manufactured for harsh tactical radar environments and provides superior performance over dynamic environmental conditions. The 1700 MHz output provides ultra-low phase noise, spurious suppression of -85 dBc, low DC power consumption, and is offered in a compact mechanical footprint. The SSB phase noise profile is state-of-the-art performance for an unheated, statically mounted crystal oscillator.
