Taconic, Petersburgh, NY, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site of its new manufacturing facility in Cheonan, Korea. The company could not have asked for a nicer day as company CEO Andrew Russell kicked off events with sincere congratulations to everyone involved. Awards for outstanding performance were then handed out to key contributors who made the opening possible, including a local construction company as well as several Korea Taconic employees.
Numerous vital Taconic customers were in attendance for the festivities including from Korea: KMW, LG Electronics, MJT, Ace Technologies and Leaders Electronics and New Era Electronics from Taiwan, Celestica from China and Via Systems Kalex from Hong Kong. Visitors were treated to a tour of Korea Taconic Co.'s Industrial Products Division factory, as well as a tour of the manufacturing line, test lab and equipment overview of the new Advanced Dielectric Division factory.
TACONIC manufactures TacLam®, ORCER and TacPreg® substrate materials for microwave frequency and high speed digital applications. The product offerings range in dielectric constants from 2.17 to 10.
