Mician GmbH, Bremen, Germany, releases Version 7.0 of its EM-software tool µWave Wizard™. This release comes in a 64 bit version which is fully integrated into the existing GUI. It allows to utilize all available RAM for more complex and challenging designs like entire feed chains.
The new 3D FEM solver takes advantage of features of modern multi-core processors and is up to ten times faster compared to the former solver. Additionally there is an overall speed up of about 50% - also for the Mode-Matching Method (MM) and 2D FEM computations - compared to version 6.6.
Further improvements with the latest release will be new elements such as multi-port coaxial junctions, waveguide double bands, ridged waveguide t-junctions and couplers or step discontinuities between arbitrary user defined waveguides.
The µWave Wizard offers state-of-the-art solutions for almost any microwave waveguide circuit or antenna design problem. Fast, accurate and new electromagnetic (EM) methods ensure optimal designs. The EM CAD software yields unparalleled performance in exact synthesis, analysis and optimization of passive waveguide components and networks. Plug-ins for the field computation and for the calculation and optimization of the radiation pattern of antennas are available.
