EB Introduces Industry's First Radio Channel Emulator Platform To Take Next-Generation Wireless Testing Beyond Conformance

New emulator platform designed for wireless systems requiring wide bandwidths up to 125 MHz with MIMO for complete channel emulation of WiMAX, LTE, 4G and beyond

EB, a global technology leader in test tools for measuring, modeling and emulating radio channel environments, today announces a new radio channel emulation platform that exceeds the performance requirements for WiMAX, LTE and 4G testing to ensure that end users have the best possible wireless connection. EB Propsim F8, the first product based on the new platform, takes emulator performance to the highest level ever through complete channel emulation for any existing and future wireless system making it ideal for chipset vendors, handset makers, base station developers and carriers.


As wireless systems evolve towards higher data rates with the evolution of such technologies as WiMAX, LTE and 4G, air interface requirements increase in terms of wider bandwidths and better spectral efficiency. The only guarantee that the device is fully functional in true conditions is to validate it piece-by-piece in similar conditions. EB Propsim F8 enables laboratory testing of wireless devices, applications and networks under real air interface conditions with not only standardized, but also more advanced radio channel models.

- The enhanced graphical user interface and tailored user profiles offer ease of use in creating and running test setups resulting in shorter testing time and increased productivity.
- The widest RF signal dynamic range, best channel linearity, highest number of physical and logical fading channels, and the cleanest spectrum available on the market allowing testing to be taken beyond conformance to focus on performance
- A single EB Propsim F8 cabinet supports 2 to 8 physical channels and 4 to 32 logical channels respectively which provides the ability to test the most channels in the industry
