Richardson Electronics Ltd., a specialized international distributor of RF and microwave components, announced that Avago Technologies has selected Richardson to distribute its wireless products in the European market. Effective immediately, this is an expansion of Avago’s existing distribution agreement with Richardson, which previously covered Southeast Asia, Japan and the entire western hemisphere.
As a specialized Distribution Partner, Richardson will supply Avago’s wireless product portfolio to customers throughout Europe. Avago RF/microwave devices provide solutions for all base station, repeater, RF data terminal and handset designs. Benefits include small packages, superb power efficiency and industry-leading performance specifications. Avago products include RFICs, transistors, both Schottky and PIN diodes, and millimeter-wave integrated circuits (MMIC).
“Avago is putting great focus on the development of RF/microwave solutions for system designers in Europe. The addition of Richardson to our sales distribution in Europe will greatly complement our projected growth for the region,” said Steffi Kircher, Avago Technologies sales director of distribution in Europe. “Richardson’s experienced technical sales team can provide engineered solutions in all markets including cellular base station, WLAN, WiMAX, GPS, ISM, RFID, millimeter-wave radio links, VSAT and military”.

To support customers’ evaluation and design-in of Avago products, Richardson stocks the entire product line as well as Designer Kits, which include samples and detailed application notes. Evaluation boards are also available.
