Just months after being inaugurated, Temex Frequency Electronics Shanghai Co. Ltd. has successfully achieved ISO9001:2000 certification, the internationally recognized quality standard, for its Shanghai facility. Launched in October 2005, the subsidiary is a joint venture between Temex, as the majority shareholder with 83 percent, and Lemax with 17 percent. The subsidiary specializes in design, mass-production and sales of time and frequency components (crystal oscillators, VCOs, PLLs), particularly for telecom applications.

As the company’s first industrial activity in China, Temex Frequency Electronics Shanghai Co. Ltd. has expanded rapidly to have closer contact with its Asian customers. "We are delighted to have achieved certification at our first attempt and in such a short time," said Cao Yang, the subsidiary’s managing director. "We firmly believe that this will benefit our relationship with our current and future customers. Achieving ISO9001:2000 certification confirms our leadership position in product quality."

The Shanghai facility joins Temex’ offices worldwide that have received the ISO9001:2000 certification, while the company’s headquarters, based in Sophia-Antipolis (France), has also achieved certification to ISO-14001, the internationally recognized Environmental Management System Standard.
