Park Electrochemical Corp., a global advanced materials company that develops and manufactures high-technology digital and RF/microwave printed circuit materials and advanced composite materials, has opened a new advanced composite materials ‘Pioneer Plant’ located on Pioneer Road in Jurong, Singapore.


The company’s manufacturing facilities are located in Singapore, China, France, Connecticut, New York, Arizona and California. In addition, the company is in the process of constructing a new development and manufacturing facility in Newton, Kansas. The new facility in Singapore will focus on the development and manufacture of advanced composite materials for the aerospace industry in Asia and comprises approximately 32,000 ft2 of manufacturing, laboratory and office space.

The Pioneer Plant will be operated by Park’s wholly owned subsidiary, Nelco Products Pte. Ltd. (Nelco Singapore), which develops and manufactures high-tech materials for the Asian electronics equipment industry and commenced operations in 1986.

Brian Shore, Park Electrochemical Corp.’s president and CEO, commented, “The Pioneer Plant represents Park’s on-the-ground investment in that high growth industry in Asia. Our Pioneer Plant is intended to be the sister plant to Park’s new advanced composite materials development and manufacturing facility currently under construction in Newton, Kansas.”
