DragonWave Inc., a developer of wireless networks, announced its AirPair Wireless Ethernet radio product has been approved by Russia's Ministry of Communications for use throughout Russia.

Cedicom of Russia, a leader in the telecommunication market in Russia and the CIS countries, will offer DragonWave’s AirPair Wireless Ethernet solutions of point-to-point microwave radios designed for IP and carrier networks. The approval of DragonWave’s AirPair product will strengthen Cedicom’s portfolio and allow DragonWave to significantly extend its market reach in the Russian market. AirPair products help service providers, enterprises and governments rapidly introduce reliable, broadband access networks where fiber-optic or copper-line connectivity is either unavailable or impracticable.

DragonWave's Horizon and AirPair products operate within both licensed and unlicensed radio frequencies in the 11 to 38 GHz range. DragonWave product solutions provide scalable, wire-speed native Ethernet connectivity up to 800 Mbps full duplex.
